Collected Information:
In the registration process, we collect information from our users, including name, user name, and password, contact information such as email, address and telephone number, and billing information such as credit card number. Each of these different types of information is used to provide the TheBizBook service. Registration information is used to authenticate users, contact information is used to provide information on service updates, and billing information is used to charge for our services.
In the operation of TheBizBook service, we collect and store Business and Artist's information in order to provide the directory and other connection services. This data is gathered and provided directly by the Artist when signing up for a membership, and by the Business representative when setting up a listing for the directory.
TheBizBook may also collect and analyze visitors and users certain information regarding the use of TheBizBook services and site activity. Information collected may include but is not limited to web site traffic volume, frequency of visits, type and time of transactions etc. This information is logged to help diagnose technical problems, administer the site, and improve the quality and types of service delivered. We may provide non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information derived from the actions of our visitors and customers to third parties in order to demonstrate the value we deliver to users. (Example; "Last month we had over 2000 members redeem a promotion from a Premium Listing")
Sharing your Information:
Your private information is exactly that – private. And we won't share or sell it to any third parties.
However, in some instances whilst using the site, some of your personal information is used for purposes pertaining to the optimum functionality of the site, so please read on to ensure you have a full understanding of how this works:
Artist Member information:
The data you enter at the registration point is private and your details are not accessible by anyone but TheBizBook admin staff. We may use it as stated above in 'Collected Information' to help us analyze our users and how they use the site so we can continue to provide the best user experiences. The only content that can be seen publicly is your automatically generated user name (Your full first name and initial of your surname, i.e Chris M) and a photo of your choice which can be seen in reviews that you leave/reply to and it is your identification in the private chat rooms. You do not have a public profile page and your private dashboard is only accessible and viewable by you when logged in.
Businesses are able to offer promotions/deals/discounts to you for their service or goods through the website. By pressing the 'redeem offer' button, you will be prompted to complete a form, which then sends that Business an email with your name, email address and contact phone number. By completing this process, you are giving permission for your contact information to be shared with that business.
Business Listings information:
Business Listings created by the business representative includes your business name, website, address, phone number, social media links, videos, photos and email addresses and are displayed to users in connection with our service. These details are viewable and accessible by any visitor to the site, regardless of them being a member or not.
Agents and Casting Listings information:
Agent and Casting Listings created by TheBizBook staff or a business representative includes your business name, website, address, phone number, social media links, videos, photos and email addresses and are displayed to users in connection with our service. These details remain in a locked content area and are only viewable and accessible by Artists who have joined as a member to TheBizBook.
Your Credit Card Details:
Your credit card details are NOT stored within TheBizBook website or servers. They are stored on a secure third party server specifically designed to store this information. This is really important to ensure they always remain encrypted and safe.
Important note: The secure payment system we use (Braintree) for payment transactions will process a separate $1 pre-authorisation amount, which verifies that the payment details have been entered correctly. This will appear as a pending transaction in your account. Please be assured this is not a charge and will drop off your account within a week.
Protection of TheBizBook:
We may release personal and business information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with law; enforce or apply our terms and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of TheBizBook, our employees, our users, or others.

Best served with milk right? But TheBizBook also uses the other kind of cookies to assist in delivering the service and to provide a positive and personalized user experience for you. Cookies are files sent to your browser from a web server and they are stored on your computer's hard drive. Security:
TheBizBook has implemented processes designed to protect user information and maintain security. Each registered user is assigned a unique user name and password, which is required to access their private dashboard. It is the user's responsibility to protect the security of their login information. TheBizBook servers are located in secure server environments. Firewalls and other security technologies are continually employed to prevent interference or access from outside intruders.
Information Regarding Children:
As a business service, TheBizBook does not target its services toward, and does not knowingly collect any personal information from users under 16 years of age.
Communication Preferences:
As a member, Business Listing or if you've registered for our newsletter, you will receive emails from us from time-to-time. These communications may include, but are not limited to, system-generated emails about your account, our newsletter and marketing messages. Should you ever want to opt out of receiving these, please hit the opt out reply button at the bottom of the email.
